FV-Player-Pro with FV Vimeo Security Plugin

    Hello dear Foliovison-Team,

is it ok or meant to be that in the new version of FV-Player-Pro with Vimeo Security Plugin there is no setting of “alternative refernce”? It confuses me a bit because I had to use it before for security.

(* Alternative Referer – enter some made-up domain and keep it secret, then make sure you configure this domain for all videos on Vimeo to be the only domain where your videos can be embed.)

My videos all work, even though I don’t specify an alternative reference in FV Player Pro settings, but I’m not sure if my videos are still safe against downloads. In Vimeo, the previously created reference is still included in all my videos. This means that the videos should only be embedded in the corresponding domain. How can it now be played via FV-Player-Pro, even though I no longer specify it?

Thanks for the great Work and best regards,
    Hoshang

    Hi Hoshang,

    Thanks for your question.

The updated FV Vimeo Security does work (we rebuilt it in April to work with the new Vimeo). We’ll write you the details of how it works tomorrow.

    Hi Hoshang,

Did you get our our newsletter about the improvements to the Vimeo security (it went out 30 August). If so, did it answer your questions?
