Dear Foliovision team,
since last year I use your FV-Player Pro and FV-Player Vimeo Security Plugin for WordPress to protect my videos from illegal downloads. This all works quite well so far.
Now I noticed in my account in Foliovision that the purchased licenses are only valid until a certain period of time (see image 1). Does this mean that after this period I can no longer use the plugins and the videos will no longer play? I had thought that the licenses are purchased once and not annually? Do I have to renew the licenses to keep everything working? Will the license keys in this case remain the same or do I have to change the settings in WordPress? Will everything still work as before?Many greetings and thanks for your great support.

Thanks for reaching to us! Hope you do well during these times.
Both FV Player Pro and Vimeo Security plugins will work even after expiration. The only difference is that you will stop receiving plugin updates which is highly recommended since both plugins need to be “maintained” at least once a while.
We’re also planning on releasing important new features to our player this year!

I must add that the Vimeo playback in FV Player Pro does require a working license, as we provide that as a service.
However unlike many other paid plugins you can renew the FV Player license at a reduced price, it’s only about 1/3 of normal price.

1. The videos won’t stop playing, although the Vimeo technology will break in time.
If you are running a live site which people browse with up to date devices, you don’t want to let your licenses lapse.
2. Lapsed licenses get a 25% discount for renewal instead of a 60% discount for staying up to date.
3. You should not have to reapply your license, as the license is for domain not serial number.
