I am currently upgrading my site and using a parallax theme by Themify which has a drag and drop builder.
The issue is when I add the video short code directly into the builder module on the parallax home page it breaks the builder.
I can insert the short code on pages, posts and portfolios that open perfectly on the parallax home page and the builder works.
The Themify support team suggested I contact you.
That’s very kind of Themify. Unlike Themify, our code is in full compliance with the WordPress codex and development guidelines. You’ll note our code runs everywhere except in their building.Frankly, Themify should fix their builder or better yet use the built-in customiser technology encouraged by WordPress.
But we’re nice people and will take a look on Monday or Tuesday to see where the issue lies exactly.
Thanks for being part of Foliovision!
Making the web work for you, Alec
If I add the short code in the editor the builder function stops working, but if I delete the short code the builder works again.
The editor has the normal WordPress WYSIWYG and code functionality.
I currently have the site in maintenance mode with a coming soon splash page, how can I share my login credentials privately?
please share it with @foliovision.com">email@example.com using LastPass. LastPass is a utility for secure sharing of login information. We created a step by step illustrated guide for it here: https://foliovision.com/sharing-sensitive-information
I posted a [fvplayer] shortcode into the “Flowplayer Test Module” and I can see it playing. However when I saved the changes, there was no indication of the save being finished and when reloaded, the video was there but I couldn’t open the editing anymore.
We are currently upgrading our plugin to Flowplayer 6 core and I think this will help, at least my basic tests indicate it will.
Could you please replace the file wp-content/plugins/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/flowplayer/fv-flowplayer.min.js with this one and see if that helps? https://raw.githubusercontent.com/foliovision/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/dev/flowplayer/fv-flowplayer.min.js
could you please try to refresh your browser cache?
It worked for me this time. I’m noticing that the when the Themify Builder edit mode is turned off, our player doesn’t load properly (we will put an exclusion there), but the editing itself works now. What that means is that we need to finish our upgrade of core Flowplayer to version 6.
If you use any of our pro features, you will have to revert the fv-flowplayer.min.js file to what it was.
