CSS to Not Display an Action>Ad

[Solved]

Foliovision › Forums › FV Player › How to … › CSS to Not Display an Action>Ad

  • dplum 5 years, 1 month ago

I have created an Action Ad that Appears on All my videos.

However, I do not want it to show on certain videos, as shown at https://prnt.sc/s4syg4

Is it possible to use CSS to Not Display based on:
    – Page-id? or
    – Even better a Title that CONTAINS a certain String?

I found the “Skip global ad” setting for each FV video as shown here https://prnt.sc/s4wfm5

However, might there be a way to accomplish the second method that I mentioned in my last post, namely to somehow eliminate a global ad for FV Videos within every Page/Post that contains a certain String?

BTW, I’m hiding the Title on pages where the Ad is being Suppressed and so I could place any “tag like” stribng within a Title that no one would ever see (except the WP Admin), like “>> No Ad <<“” and so could CSS be used to automatically suppress a Global Ad for each Video that resides on a Page/Post that contains this string?

    Hello dplum,

the CSS might work. Perhaps you can just set display: none on .wpfp_custom_popup and that’s it.

But to do this right you should make sure the popup is not there at all.

If you know a bit of PHP coding you can use the code from https://foliovision.com/player/advanced/api-programming -> “Here’s a code to auto-generate a popup for each player” and adjust it to remove $args[‘popup’] based on global $post.

    Thanks,
    Martin
