Youtube Embeds Not Working on iPhone iOS 12.1.3 or 12.1.2

Youtube Embedded videos have stopped playing correctly on the iPhone. I am using the pro version of the plugin. Current iOS is 12.1.3, prior to that I was on 12.1.2 and upgrading did not solve the issue. I checked your demo page and experienced the same issue: https://foliovision.com/player/video-hosting/youtube-with-fv-player. The video plays but the video thumbnail does not disappear so you can’t see the video. I did some inspecting in Safari connected to my mobile device and it looks like there’s a is ready class that gets added dynamically which sets the background image to none. On Youtube embeds that class is not getting added so the placeholder image does not get hidden.

Hello Beth,

thank you for the bug report. I’m not seeing the issue on iOS 12.1. I should be able to test on iOS 12.1.2 or iOS 12.1.3 tomorrow.

Hello Beth,

we found no issues on iPad with iOS 12.1.1 nor iOS 12.1.3.

No issues on iPhone with iOS 12.1 (16B92) either.

Are you using any browser extensions? What is your full user agent string? You can find it on a website like this one: https://www.whatsmyua.info/

I am not using any browser extensions. I restarted my phone after the iOS upgrade to 12.1.3 and the issue went away. Very strange. Here is my user agent string for reference:

Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 12_1_3 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/12.0 Mobile/15E148 Safari/604.1
