Hi, trying to play a Vimeo video with shortcode but the player gives me the following error-msg;
“html5: Video loading aborted. Please use a modern up-to-date browser like Firefox or Chrome”
The video plays fine in Safari but not with the recommended browsers Chrome and Firefox
The video can be seen here;

And the shortcode I’m using is;

Please, go to Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Hosting -> Vimeo and check, if you are getting any API errors.

No problem :) I see the following API errors;
2021-11-02 20:02:33: Error for video https://vimeo.com/441593335: The requested video couldn’t be found.
2021-11-02 20:02:33: Error for video https://vimeo.com/441657953: The requested video couldn’t be found.But these are two videos that are deleted from Vimeo a long time ago, about a year or so ago, and shouldn’t affect other videos right?
Do you need to log in as admin to check it out?

I’ve done as much testing as I could, but the video did play for me on my test site.
Your test page https://www.iamyoga.online/test/ does not work without login. Could you please make it available for public?

it seems you are using Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Hosting -> Vimeo (Pro) -> Disable MPEG-DASH. Could you please try again with that setting disabled?

That seems to fix the problem. But then we are right back at why I had it enabled in the first place;
When disabled, this problem starts up again, so this isn’t a viable solution unfortunately
Any other ideas? :)

for some reason that video does not have the MP4 versions available. We will make that work.

Hello David,
could you please deactivate and delete the FV Player Pro plugin you are using (just the “FV Player Pro” plugin, no data will be lost), then hit “Install Pro extension” at the top of the wp-admin -> Settings -> FV Player screen. That will reinstall the plugin and give you the fixed version.
Then that video should play.
