Me and my team downloaded FV player, but when we preview the page with the player, sometimes it jumps down the page, creating extreme white space, and then it jumps back. We tried almost every imaginable sizing, with and without content, and we really want to keep using the player, but it’s impossible with this bug – has anyone experienced the same issue, or does someone have an idea as to what we can do?

We’re not aware of receiving any reports of similar issues. This might be a theme or a plugin conflict.
Please, let us know what theme you are using. Also, it would help us a lot if you’d send us the information found in FV Player -> Settings -> Tools -> System Info , so we can check for plugins that may be in conflict.

Your theme might be using some
!importantCSS rule that would cause this. So if we can make our CSS more resilient, we will. Hopefully without these!importantrules.Thanks,

since you are using FV Player Pro you should be enabling the full Vimeo integration which will avoid the issue: https://foliovision.com/player/video-hosting/how-to-use-vimeo
Otherwise Vimeo is just an iframe and the player script has to finish loading for it to set the size properly. By default it only loads when you start interacting with the page, this is controlled in wp-admin -> FV Player -> Settings -> Integrations/Compatibility -> “Optimize JavaScript loading”.
But I see we should assume a 16:9 aspect ratio for these iframes.

I have linked the token in vimeo (pro) setting, and it says: “Your Vimeo access token has been successfully verified (last check: Tue, 04 Apr 2023 12:17:02 +0000)”
When i copy the normal video URL (looking like this: “https://vimeo.com/814237482“)
- the player looks like this (See Image1). The Ads doesn’t show and still creates the white space.
When I copy the link from the distribution site at Vimeo (See image3) the link looks like: “https://player.vimeo.com/progressive_redirect/playback/814237482/rendition/1080p/file.mp4?loc=external&signature=e77147b01fbb3be61899ce9426db9b25585570f18c70d2d8435ae45dfdc84515“
- The player looks like this (See Image2) and features such as: CC, Settings and PiP dissapears, BUT the pre-rolls are working and the white spacing dissapears.
Is it normal to loose these features?
I just noticed that there is still a bit of white spacing underneath the player in ‘IMAGE3’ is there a way to remove is?
I have attached yet another image (Image4) to illustrate the problem.

Try setting the “Bottom margin” in FV Player -> Settings -> Skin to 0. It should erase that white space.
