html5: Video file not found for embedded video (preloader)

Hi, on pianosolo.it we had problems with the preloaded videos. The error were “html5: Video file not found for embedded video”. Now i disabled preloaded videos and all goes well. I have all plugins updated.

Hello Giulio,

do you mean that the issue starts when you enable these FV Player Pro Video pre-roll ads?

Please let us know what format do you use for the actual video. Perhaps there is a combination of pre-roll video type and the main video type that doesn’t work well, although we didn’t had such reports for a long time.

Maybe i found the solution. The origin is in http, not secure.

Hello Giulio,

is the issue happening in Google Chrome? Starting with version 80 Google Chrome automatically loads any videos on a https:// website using https://. More information about that can be found here: https://venturebeat.com/2020/02/04/google-chrome-80/

So if you link to a video using http:// Chrome will load it with https:// to keep the site secure. However if the domain where it’s linked from doesn’t have https:// properly configure it will fail to play.
