GuzzleHttp conflicts with ElementsKit Pro again

Foliovision › Forums › FV Player › Bug Reports › GuzzleHttp conflicts with ElementsKit Pro again

  • Tonia 2 years, 4 months ago

    Hello Support,
Several months ago, I reported a bug where FV Player gave an error when uploading a video. This was caused by a version conflict of GuzzleHttp between FV Player and ElementsKit Pro. The problem was then fixed with a new version of FV Player, but a few upgrades later there was the same problem again. So far I’ve disabled ElementsKit every time I upload, but it’s starting to get a little annoying.

I hope this can be fixed once and for all.

    Hello Tonia,

We’re sorry to hear the issues has returned.

You mention it returned a few upgrades later. Can you provide us with a rough estimate of when?

Is the issue present in the previous version? (current 7.5.30 came out only a few days ago) If not, then rolling back a version for a brief time might be a good short-term solution: https://foliovision.com/player/tools/rollback-player-version

Our programmer Martin is currently on a well-deserved vacation till the 3rd of January. He’ll look into it and create a fix ASAP.

    Thanks,
    Maria

    Hello Maria,

    thanks for the reply.

I can live with the issue for a while. The last working version is
around 5 or 6 months ago, so a rolling back will not be the solution.
Let Martin enjoy his vacation and we’ll see afterwards.

    Kind regards and nice holidays,

    Tonia

    Hello Tonia,

I checked the previous thread about this issue: https://foliovision.com/support/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/troubleshooting/uploaded-videos-with-wordpress-and-coconut-plugin-give-error-at-playing

Last time the issue was that we tried to support even PHP 5.6. To fix it we set the minimal version of AWS parts of FV Player to 7.2. That way we got the latest GuzzleHTTP version.

However we are still on the latest GuzzleHTTP version, even requiring PHP 8.2 did not update the version. What GuzzleHTTP is now in ElementsKit Pro?

Is there any way of preventing ElementsKit Pro from loading all their libraries? Could you please ask their support?

    Thanks,
    Martin
