Hi,
we have a problem with the player when we want to play only a part of a youtube video with wordpress plugin.
I put the right starting point and when someone open the article
it starts from different one and the visitor has to scroll manually the player bar back to the beginning to play the whole part of the video which is very annoying.regards

Does this occur even when user never watched that particular video before? If not, please check if Remember Video Position feature isn’t allowed on your website.

Do you have the AB loop enabled for the player? We got a bug report that it won’t work properly with start/end time, so we are fixing that.
If that’s not it, then please provide a link to the page on your website where we can see the issue.

No, loop it’s not enabled.
I put the start time in right way, and the “part” of the video is right but it doesn’t start from the beginning of that part. You have to manually scroll the player bar to the beginning.thanks

so your video start is set to 11:20. The video is 36:45. FV Player shows the proper duration of the remaining part – 25:25. And even the part of the video which it shows is correct.
I also tried to seek to 0:55 on your website and the video shows the 3 people in the video converence and view of the school classroom which then rotates to some cleaning wipes and so on.
So perhas I’m missing the point – do you want to just play the video from the 11:20 time, but allow your visitors to seek before that time? That’s not how our start/end feature does. We built it so that it really locks you down to the exact part of the video and nothing else.

I just want to start from the time i choose (11:20 in our example) and not to be necessary for the visitor manually to move the bar (because it will not be happened)I don’t mind to be able to go before the preferred starting point.

if you have a o 36:45 long video and you set it to start at 11:20, then it will start at that correct time. But it will show it as 00:00 and the total video duration will not only 25:25.
So it is not necessary for the visitor to move the bar manually.
But there is no way of moving before that starting point. If you say that it was letting you go before the starting point before, then I think that was before you started using FV Player Pro. As we always had it working like what I described.
Please let us know as I’m really not sure if there is any bug or if you just expect this feature to work differently.

But it will show it as 00:00 and the total video duration will not only 25:25.”In this example you made, i want to start from 11:20 which is shown as “00:00” and what i want is to start from that “00:00”, but it doesn’t start from that point, but after some time and the visitor manually has to go to “00:00”.
In this case i have to use the native code of youtube to start from the preferred point.thanks

I tested on https://bit.ly/2z3Sv6D with Chrome and Firefox and didn’t notice any issue.

please let us know if you run into that issue even if you use incognito mode of your browser and what browser on what operating system you are using.

i use extensions but even if i disable all of them the problem exists.
With another account in chrome there is no problem.In safari working well.

you said with “another account” – do you mean you hit the head icon in Google Chrome toolbar, log in as somebody else and the issue goes away?
In that case I would say that your Google account might have something stored on YouTube that is affecting this. You said you didn’t had issues with the YouTube start time at https://foliovision.com/player/advanced/custom-start-end-time so it’s possible.

i took the link from the player and i put it in youtube and it played like you said, not from beginning but from some other time with a visual marker on the timeline (at the same point that was playing with the player).

Hello Nikolaos,
perhaps using the YouTube without cookies will fix the issue where a video wouldn’t play from the beginning then you are logged in into your Google account.
Please reinstall FV Player Pro by deactivating and deleting the FV Player Pro plugin you are using, then hit “Install Pro extension” at the top of the wp-admin -> Settings -> FV Player screen and the YouTube embeds will use youtube-nocookie.com domain.
However you will have to switch to Beta: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/switching-fv-player-pro-to-beta
