Hi guys, our licence for FV Player VAST expired. Will this prevent ads to deliver?

Hi Kobus,
Yes, FV Player VAST will stop working after the expiration, unlike FV Player Pro, which works even when expired (it just won’t receive updates and support). If you choose to renew your license after expiration, you will also have to download a fresh copy of the plugin and reinstall it.

We want to deliver ads on embedded youtube videos in mobile browsers. It is for more than 60% of our page views. This functionality is currently disabled with the latest version of FV Player VAST. Do you guys plan on bringing back this functionality? This will determine if we renew our licence.

yes, we would like to re-enable that, however it seems we will have to change how the videos are loaded. The tap on the video will have to run the video ads and then another tap will be required to play the actual video. As YouTube is in iframe, there is no other way of doing this.

unfortunately for now it only works reliably on iPad, so we need to improve it further. We already made first steps for iPhone and it’s close, but Android is a bigger issue at this point.

We’d love to have you guys renew but FV VAST/VPAID is a service. If you’d like to use, you will have to renew.
As you know we are working on bring back as much functionality as possible to YouTube (and more than anyone else).

We tested on Android 4.4.4 (both latest Chrome 60 and old Chrome 44), Android 7.0, iOS 8.1, iOS 10.2.1.
