Just like s2Members, the free version of this plugin is very restricted, to the point of being nearly useless. Still, the paid version is very affordable and simple. It offers a great number of add-ons and is highly customizable. It allows for custom registration and profile fields.

Last time we checked, iThemes had a track record of improperly working code in several of their plugins.
