Vimeo – Too Many API Requests issue – locked out every hour

Hi,

We are migrating our videos to Vimeo and have a vimeo plus account.
Issue is that i am constantly getting locked out from Vimeo API and being asked to wait 1 hour.

Each page i have has references to about 5/6 videos and I get locked out after i have migrated 7/8 pages.

What is happening behind the scenes when i save my wordpress page and how can i see if i am approaching the limit? What is the limit as both vimeo and FV player documentation is very vague?

Any help appreciated on this frustrating issue. I am sure if i keep getting locked out then i may be penalised by Vimeo.

Please can someone confirm that each time someone loads the page that a Vimeo API request is not being made and that information is cached.

Hello Saul,

thank you for the bug report, we just released FV Player Pro 0.7.41 which fixes this issue.

The Vimeo API was called twice on a post save when there was a change in the post HTML due to a bug in our code. We also added caching for it so that it only checks once every hour, if there is a change to the post.
