Videos from Vimeo in playlists are taking very long to load recently

Hi, I hope you are well!

Since some time back now my playlists are loading really slow, really slow. Going to the next video in the playlist also takes a very long time

Here’s an example with two playlists – https://www.iamyoga.online/test-2/

There are some errors shown in the inspector which I don’t understand, but perhaps you do?

Hello David,

thank you for reaching out to us!

We looked at your website and some of the sources for your videos require appending special arguments. The reason it takes long, is that appending of these arguments is not yet supported in FV Player. Thus, FV Player keeps requesting others, until if finds one that does not need it and then manages to successfully play it.

Our programmers will look into the possibilities of supporting this and will get back to you soon.

Hi Maria, thanks for the quick reply! Any estimated timeline on this?

I ask because all of my videos are from Vimeo, which is hundreds of single videos and hundreds of playlists.

Hello David,

I made an update to the API, it seems to play reliably now.

The issue was that the Vimeo CDN does not seem to work reliably with the HTTP range requests. We had to use their original segment URLs with query strings instead.
