    Hello team foliovision
I am using the vimeo plus to host the videos and i am using the Enable MPEG-DASH (Beta) option.
However I saw that in internet explorer 10 it still continues to enable the saving of the video when selecting with the right mouse button (print). I would like to know if you have a option for remove this option to save the video in internet explorer 10. In other browsers like google chrome and firefox mozilla it works perfectly.

Also taking advantage of this space, I would like to know if there is any option to change the contrast of the videos. Because in Internet Explorer 10, the videos appear with very different contrast from the original, and in the videos we use whiteboard, it ends up making it difficult to see what is written on the board, so I wonder if you can help me Correct this.

    Hello Sergio,

The high contrast in IE 10 is probably an option of that browser. You should be able to turn it off by pressing Alt + Left Shift + Print Screen.

As for downloading the video, well, that shouldn’t be so easy. Could you please send a link to your page so I could test it?

    Thanks,
    Eduard

    Hello good Morning,
In the case of contrast is just on the video, not in the full page itself.
    test link.

    Hello Sergio,

I apologize, but I’m unable to replicate the problem. I tried it on IE 10 emulator, but the video contrast remained the same. What version of Windows are you using?

As for the downloading, I can see the option “Save as”, but that allows only the download of the HTML image of the site.

    Thanks,
    Eduard

Hello, the internet explorer version is 10.0.9200.16521
And as shown in the print in case it saves an mp4 file and also it runs with the same contrast error. But in the current versions of google chorme and mozila this does not happen.
    thanks for the feedback

    Hello Sergio,

FV Player 6.0.5.21 has been released and it disables the video element right click.

The contrast might be related to your graphics hardware settings. You can try to enable “Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering”: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2528233/how-to-enable-or-disable-software-rendering-in-internet-explorer

We are planning to increase the Vimeo video protection with an extra option which will make sure the Vimeo videos are never playing using the MP4 files, but always use HLS or MPEG-DASH streams. It will reduce the compatibility, but the benefit will be that these streams can’t be downloaded without advanced knowledge of how the streams work. We also want to obscure the Vimeo video IDs so that they can’t be checked in HTML source code.

    Thanks,
    Martin

Thank you Eduard and Martin, this update worked and helped me a lot. I’m grateful for that.

I look forward for this improvements.

    regards
