Flowplayer is not a Youtube video player – you need to use it with a FLV, H.264, or MP4 video file. In your message it appears, that you are just trying to use URL of a Youtube video, that won’t work. There are other WordPress plugins which allow you to use a Youtube video like that.

I’m getting this too. I made sure it was an mp4 file. But neither the shortcode, or using the insert button on the post window will work. In fact when I use the icon, it will not even insert the code for me. When I do it manually I get the same error mentioned above.

thank you for reporting the issue with the inserting of the code. We will checking that one out.
However the issue MP4 is more difficult. MP4 has many different options. The video codes used has to be H.264 and audio codec has to be AAC. More details can be found here: http://foliovision.com/wordpress/plugins/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/encoding

I seem to be having a similar problem. When I use the icon to insert a video from my gallery it inserts just fine. When I attempt to view it from the web I get an error code 200. I have tried several formats mp4 for html5,flv,wmv and a standard mp4 format.

you could try to download the file using the URL which gets inserted into the flowplayer shortcode to make sure it’s a correct path. If you can’t download it, neither Flowplayer is be able to do so.

I have a slight different problem. When I upload a video the first video works fine. When I upload a second one it show white space where the player should be. I know should both should work because they are both same type of file. What is happening?

are these videos in the same post or page? Do they work if you put them into different posts?
There could be something wrong with your template that is causing this, as multiple videos on the same page work. it seems that it only works one video per page. I added another video in another artist’s page and it works. How do I add more than one video per page. The web site is http://www.revolutionaryprojects.com on the portfolio page.

uploads and activates fine
example show up on settings page and plays fine
put on page [flowplayer src=example.flv]
player shows up, press play
get error code

this might depend on if you have auto play enabled or if you are using splash images. I would suggest that you start with no splash images and autoplay turned off, that really should work.
If the autoplay is on, the splash image might need to be removed for it to work.

the path “http://www.lwvchaffeecounty.org/example.flv” is not correct unless you have the example.flv stored in your website root folder. You need to put in full path to the FLV file. I can’t find where I can go to remove the splash image. Changed the auto play to off.

you should be able to remove the “splash” attribute of the shortcode, that will remove the image.
