crossdomain.xml access denied

Foliovision › Forums › FV Player › Troubleshooting › crossdomain.xml access denied

  • Ganesh 10 years, 5 months ago

    Hi,
I am trying to set up HLS with Cloudfront. I have the crossdomain.xml file in the root folder of my bucket for streaming and thumbs. I am still getting this error: “Cannot load M3U8: crossdomain access denied”.
I have made sure that my Keypair and Id are correct. When I access an mp4 file in the same folder, it plays fine in all browsers. But when I use HLS, I get this error. The web site is http://coursible.com/i/. Appreciate your help in resolving this. FYI, the actual error I see in Chrome java console is “Missing API key”. I have enabled debugging.
    Thanks.

    Hi Ganesh,

Thanks for your question. Debugging Cloudfront is a real nuisance, I agree.

We do have a very detailed guide here: https://foliovision.com/player/serving-private-cloudfront

If you’d like us to set up your Cloudfront for you we do so as a service for $100 per site.

Thanks for the quick response, Alec.

What I am trying to figure out is if there is an issue in FVPlayer plugin when sending the API key with the request for corssdomain.xml. I have no problem in waiting for a few days.

    Thanks!

    The issue is resolved.

I created a new Distribution and a new Origin Access Identity, and it started working.

    Thanks.

Thanks for sharing your solution Ganesh!

I wish Amazon Cloudfront were easier to use for everyone’s sake. Let us know if there are any other questions you have.
