I’m using the FV WordPress Flowplayer plugin on a WordPress website and everything was working fine. Now, something seems to be wrong with the Flowplayer. It is saying “Player initialization failed” and gives error #1069.

When I visit the plugin’s settings page in my WordPress dashboard, I get the same error on Flowplayer’s video, but I can hear the audio, just no video. So I know that the problem is not with my video file or my shortcode.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin to no avail. I also de-activated all my other plugins and still got the Flowplayer error.
As I said, this was working before. Any ideas what could be wrong?

when I go to the page you’ve posted I can see the video playing well. Not sure what was the problem, maybe there’s was something temporary with your hosting.

It is still not working on both my computer and my client’s computer. In FireFox I get the #1069 error and when I view it in Chrome I get the error 200, Stream not found, NetStream.Play

error like this appears when the url to the video is incorrect. Check for quotes around the url, check if the video really is where the url points to, check upper/lowercase or if you don’t have some strange characters there.
You have already removed the video so I cannot see this problem now.Zdenka
Thank you for your efforts to help. I know that the URL was not the problem because the Flowplayer owned video (the one that plays when you visit the plugin’s settings page in the dashboard) had the exact same issue.
I had to launch the website so used YouTube to ensure the video would work. I’ve put the flowplayer code back onto the demo page for continued troubleshooting. Here is the shortcode I’ve used:

I’ve also turned on AutoPlay, so when you visit the page you will hear the audio, just can’t see the video. So, again, I know that the .flv file is being referenced correctly.
Help is much appreciated – I would rather use Flowplayer over YouTube on the live site. Thank you!!

I have checked the demo site again, in different browsers and I can see the video playing without any issues.
This looks like a problem with your own computer, rather then with the site, as I can see it correctly.
I have one more idea, since Flowplayer is Flash based player, also you’re using .flv file, you might need to update your flash, if you have one which is very much out of date, then might cause troubles. Maybe try using some other computer, or last thing maybe try to recode the video into another format, say for example mp4.
