I have been using the Pro feature allowing for my own video ads to run pre/post roll. This is honestly one of my favorite features of FV Player. My issue is that I use Vimeo Pro for the ads and it does not show up on either Vimeo stats or Google Analytics. Obviously that is not good for reporting back to advertisers. When I look at the Google Analytics report, it only shows the video page not the pre-roll. Are you any closer to having plays show up on Vimeo stats? If not, is there a solution to have the ads show on Google Analytics?

Hello Ron,
we will work on adding Google Analytics tracking for the FV Player Pro Video ads. I guess we can just create a new set of events (Custom Ad Start, Custom Ad End, Custom Ad Skip, Custom Ad Click) and use the user defined ad names.
If you use the Vimeo Pro file URLs they will work with Vimeo stats.

Hello Ron,
FV Player Pro 0.7.26 gives you tracking of “Video Ad Click” and “Video Ad Skip”. The overall playback stats of the ads can be obtained from the “Video start” and “Video complete” events as “Video Ad: {ad name}”.

I just updated to FV Player Pro 0.7.26 and all my videos that had already been loaded in the previous version were not using the player. Am I going to need to go back and reload all the videos to use this update? In the meantime I just reverted back to the previous version.
Now that I have reverted back to the previous version, my watermark logo is gone. I loaded my logo but it still says fv flowplayer.

Are you sure FV Player Pro remained active after the update?
I checked for the logo issue on your streaming site and the “Proof of concept” trailer plays with your logo on it.

I should have clarified that I have fv player on two sites. That video is on my other site which I did not update the player on yet. I went ahead and restored the data/files on my site to 2 days ago which seems to have fixed the logo issue. I did click to insure FV Player PRO was active when I did the update though. Thanks.

Please don’t update the player for now. Reverting to the previous version was the right way to go when the update didn’t go as planned.
We’re really sorry about these issues. We’re doing everything we can (including stable and beta in a single plugin) to minimise the chances of any compatibility issues affecting the end user. We’ll make further improvements very soon.

There are real issues with WordPress 4.6.1 and the latest FV Player Pro. I’ve just helped TJ revert to an earlier version (which does work with WordPress 4.6.1). The issue may be in the beta code. What’s particularly tough is that once a person is in the beta stream, s/he can’t revert to normal version, even if s/he deletes the beta folder within the pro plugin (that still leavesl a fatal error if the client was already on beta).
Fatal error: Can't use function return value in write context in /home/sitename/public_html/w/wp-content/plugins/fv-player-pro/beta/fv-player-pro.class.php on line 2299We should also have an older stable version available in My Downloads for these cases. When redownloading FV Player Pro from the free player we should turn off beta every time (the user will have to reenable beta versions manually).

FV Player Pro 0.7.26 has an issue with PHP fatal error in some PHP versions. It’s not related to WordPress 4.6.1. I now released FV Player Pro 0.7.27 which fixes the issue.

Hello Ron,
I checked your TV site and you are using FV Player 6.0.4.21 on it, that is from 6.0.4 branch. Once you upgrade it to the latest version which is of the 6.0.5, you should be prompted to update the license key or activate automated key updates – that way it’s handled automatically.
Unfortunately core Flowplayer team requires that the license key changes.
So that could be responsible for the logo issue.
