Bunny Stream Support

[Solved]

    Hi guys,

I was wondering when you were going to fully support Bunny Stream? I recently was informed by Vimeo that my plan has exceeded the bandwidth excessively and would be contacted about discussing a plan.

Not sure exactly what that will be but I think I may look into moving all my videos to Bunny CDN as I will just pay for what I use. Probably the best move long term.

    Thanks!

    Hello John,

the part which we didn’t figure out yet are the timeline preview thumbnails.

If we get lucky we might have the first version out next week.

If you need video download protection, then FV Player Coconut is the way to go. We are finishing a big upgrade there – allowing video drag&drop uploads right on your WordPress website. The FV Player Bunny Stream plugin will have that too.

    Thanks,
    Martin

Ok thanks! Looks like the HLS url from Bunny Stream works well.

    Hello John,

that is correct, FV Player Bunny Stream will mainly make it a lot easier to add new videos. I hope we can also use their timeline previews which is a huge benefit.

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Ok great!

One thing I have noticed with the HLS stream is that the auto Quality switching works great if you click to fast forward anywhere on the timeline. But if I could a VTT Chapter Marker to advance forward the video will go to 240p and never change back to a higher resolution.

Have you seen anything like this?

    Johnwt 3 years ago

After looking at it further I see it’s some javascript on my site that is causing it. I should be able to fix it.

    Johnwt 3 years ago

I think I was wrong so could you take a look at the quality switching with Bunny Stream?

    Johnwt 3 years ago

Here’s a video you can test out. If you play the video, then click a chapter marker the quality will go to 240p but never change again.

    Hello John,

we apologize for the delay – your messages came in on the weekend.

The test video is not accessible anymore. Have you, by any chance, been able to fix the issue in the meantime?

    Thanks,
    Maria

    Hello John,

FV Player 7.5.13.727 is out and it includes Bunny Stream support. The setup wizard is in wp-admin menu in -> FV Player -> Bunny Stream.

Then you can use drag & drop to upload your video to Bunny Stream right in the FV Player Editor – making the video posting much easier.

Maria is finishing up the user guide.

    Thanks,
    Martin
