Hello,
how is it possible to implement vimeo playlists into FV Player Pro? https://vimeo.com/album/{number} doesn’t seem to work.
Greetings,
Nicola

Hello Nicola,
currently you can only post either single Vimeo videos or Vimeo channels: https://foliovision.com/player/video-hosting/how-to-use-vimeo#adding-video-channel
Please let us know if that solves your issue – can you use a channel instead of a album?
Thanks,
MartinHi Nicola!
We’ve been working on a lot of features we had planned long time before (new functionality to interactive transcripts, improving hosting integration…) plus some other bigger projects and we finally released database system for playlists which had to be perfected to work smoothly. We’ll revisit this feature with the team in February and I will write in here with any update.
Thanks,
LuciaHello Nicola,
FV Player Pro 7.3.10.727.beta adds support for Vimeo Albums. You can check our demo at https://foliovision.com/player/demos/vimeo-channel-support
You need to switch to beta to get the beta updates first: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/switching-fv-player-pro-to-beta
Thanks,
MartinThanks Martin for your efforts. We have installed all new updates of FV Player including FV Player Pro 7.3.10.727. But for us it doesn’t work. If we put the Vimeo Album URL into FV Player setup window (for example https://vimeo.com/album/5558468) the it doesn’t work.
Have we something overseen?
Thanks.Hello Nicola,
please put it in as a shortcode:
[fvplayer album="https://vimeo.com/album/5558468"]
I see that we should make sure it works with the FV Player editor as well. We can detect it’s a Vimeo album by looking for https://vimeo.com/album/ in the video URL.
Thanks,
MartinHi Nicola!
I have tried using the album – https://vimeo.com/album/5558468 but it is empty so there are no video to show. Can you please add some videos to the album and then try again? Thanks!
For test purposes you can also try this album to see if it works for you: https://vimeo.com/album/5477739
[fvplayer album="https://vimeo.com/album/5477739"]
Let us know if you run into any more issues.
Thanks,
LuciaHi Lucia,
so we have double checked: Our album is not empty. But could it be that the videos are set on private (hidden from the public)?
Because we use Vimeo just as a video host and all our videos are set private.
But in FV Editor all our private set videos are working well with Folioplayer.
I think it has something to do with the API.
Greetings.
NicolaHello Nicola,
please check what Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Hosting -> Vimeo -> “Access token” says. There might be something like “There were XYZ API errors” with an option to show details, what does it say there? The thing is the API key must be created on the same Vimeo account as the album.
It might also say “The user credentials are invalid.” – in that case ensure you selected only the “private” and “public” Scopes when creating your API key, you can see that here: https://foliovision.com/player/video-hosting/how-to-use-vimeo#access-token-setup -> “Make sure you only choose public, private and upload scopes.” If not, then you will have to generate another API token and use that.
Thanks,
MartinHey Martin,
checked:
