Hi,
Once I shared a video on facebook I need to play that video on facebook it self. Currently once I click on it, it is redirecting to my web site and playing. But I need to play shared video on facebook it self.
I found this and tried this one and it is working really fine.

Thanks in advance
Hello Nishan and smith234,
we tested this some more.
The good news is that this doesn’t rely on SWF (Flash) anymore and we can use HTML5 video here, so we could implement this feature.
The neutral news is that this would only work for self-hosted videos and not for videos with download protection (Amazon S3 or CloudFront) and not for Vimeo or YouTube videos. But I guess if you want your videos propagated on Facebook it’s not a problem. From our point of view we need to make sure we won’t put up incompatible video into the OG tags.
The bad news is that the video has to be served via HTTPS – so you need to make your site HTTPS before sharing the videos out into Facebook. However we strongly recommend using a CDN in this case to handle increased traffic. CloudFront CDN gives you HTTPS right away.
Thanks,
MartinTo clarify, Foliovision does not recommend Cloudfront (the free accounts are dodgy in terms of performance and the paid accounts are not that great a deal, escalating very rapidly in price). The cheap and fairly compatible CDN (used by many WordPress hosting providers) is MaxCDN. Search for MaxCDN and coupon to get a great deal (25% off).
I wouldn’t use cloudfront for videos for playing unless they were really small. I only use them for Roku stuff, (image, biff, etc) and audio for podcasts. They are really good for that. Cloudfront at least for rtmp is horrible to say the least. If there was away to load it on all the cdns before using maybe. I like vimeo for videos for the price. I use vimeo pro and for the most part don’t have any problems.
Hello smith234,
next FV Player release will contain an option to enable Facebook Video Sharing.
When enabled any MP4 video without download protection with a splash image will be shared to Facebook directly rather than the standard post excerpt with a image. The video also must be accessible using the https:// protocol.
If you could test it out in the beta release, it would be most welcome. You can get it be reinstalling the plugin from the following ZIP file: https://github.com/foliovision/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/archive/master.zip
Before you install that version you must first deactivate and delete your existing FV Player plugin. No settings or videos will be lost.
Please let us know if you have any issues.
Thanks,
MartinThis is an awesome feature any chance you can include it into the shortcode editor we have some videos we want to share and others we don’t.. Otherwise this feature is incredibly amazing being that we upload to facebook, youtube, spreaker, vimeo and other platforms – you just cut time off my workflow and I am very greatful.
