Stackpath Secure Token instructions

Foliovision › Forums › FV Player › How to … › Stackpath Secure Token instructions

    Hello,
I see that you have setup a Stackpath Secure Token option, but there are no instructions for it’s use. We are a Stackpath CDN customer and I do not see any option for a Secure Token, as in, put one on the Stackpath and then put one in FV Player. Stackpath has purchased a number of CDN’s. When you implemented the Stackpath Secure token was the end user using Stackpath CDN or Stackpath SecureCND (a company they bought).

How does one configure a Secure Token using Stackpath CDN?

I see this Knowledge Article of theirs around URL Signing:
EdgeRules: Configure URL signing from the Control portal
    https://support.stackpath.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001450703-EdgeRules-Configure-URL-signing-from-the-Control-portal

But that does not look the same as a Secure token? Or do I just set a passPhrase in Stackpath and use that same one in FV Player?

    Thanks,
    David

    Hello tcnet,

we added the Stackpath support a while ago. Back then the URL tokens worked with “st” and “e” arguments.

I see that it’s different now and unfortunately we no longer have a Stackpath account. I will check it with Alec.

Do you plan to use it for HLS streams?

    Thanks,
    Martin

HI Martin, It will actually be for mp4 files.      Our live streaming is all from a Wowza Streaming Server but every once in a while we will have some static videos on Stackpath.   If you need any info from their support or any screen shots, or articles on how it’s setup now, let me know.

    Thanks,
    David
