    Hi there,

My theme has different types of post e.g. video, photo gallery, regular post, etc. However, when I put FV player shortcodes into the video box it just loads text. Is there a way to get the player to load?

Also, I want to put a slider on the home page and have the video player load in the slider. Is there a slider your recommend or recommend avoiding? I assume it is possible to put video in a slider?

    Thanks for your help.
    Tommie

    Hi Tommie,

Please don’t use the video box. Just enter the shortcode directly into normal content.

We often use the Soliloquy slider in our own projects as it looks good and is responsive and is well-supported.

And will Soliloquy slider load your video player so that i can play videos in the slider?

    Hi Tommie,

Martin will answer your slider question in detail on Tuesday or Wednesday next week when he gets back from holiday.

    Hello Tommie,

Soliloquy only shows the post featured image and not the content, so our player won’t work in it without some modifications. Next issue to handle is to make sure the slider won’t move once the video has started and that moving to a next slide will pause the video.

We have implemented this successfully with bxSlider jQuery plugin. We wonder how to make this a part of our plugin.

Our video lightbox technology is pretty close to a video slider: https://foliovision.com/player/demos/fv-flowplayer-lightbox

    Thanks,
    Martin
