Hi, I’m looking for a way to create a sortable video library where each video uses the FV player to play, but doesn’t require the functionality of the player library’s that are inherent to the FV player plugin (where you’re adding multiple videos per shortcode).
Is there any best practice in creating individual video players for each video instead of building multiple videos into a library shortcode?

I don’t think I understand your use case completely.
Do you mean that you have your own database of videos and want to use FV Player for display only? You can use the [fvplayer src="..." splash="..."] kind of shortcdoes in that way.
The downside is that some of the functions won’t be available to you, like the upcoming video play stats.
