Permissions for Editor role

[Solved]

Foliovision › Forums › FV Player › How to … › Permissions for Editor role

    Hello,

we encountered a problem with the user permissions and the FV Player plugin. For security reasons we had to change almost all admin users to editors. But now these editor users do not see the FV Player settings in the backend. But they have to do things like Pre-Rolls and Video Adds.

Is there a way to give users these specific permissions or if thats not possible, to allow editors the same things as admins regarding FV Player?

    Kind regards,
    Robert

    Hello Robert,

please check if they are able to access wp-admin -> FV Player -> Video Ads.

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hello Martin,

no there is no “Video Ads” menu entry when I log in as an editor. And when I copy the URL to the page (wp-admin/admin.php?page=fv_player_video_ads) I get a message, that I do not have permission to access it.

The only available menu items are “Videos/Playlists” and “Bunny Stream”.

    Best regards,
    Robert

    Hello Robert,

please reinstall FV Player Pro – deactivate and delete the FV Player Pro plugin you are using, then hit “Install Pro extension” at the top of the wp-admin -> Settings -> FV Player screen.

That way the issue will be fixed. It seems we made a mistake when adding this feature for Editor role users.

    Thanks,
    Martin
