How to set a thumbnail using amazon s3

[Solved]

    Hi,
I am currently hosting my videos on Vimeo. But I have noticed some playback freezing and I am seriously considering moving to Amazon S3.

I have done some tests and it seems good (no playback issues). I have used Elastic transcoder and it automatically generates thumbnails. I’d like to know what and where I should insert in the FV code to get this working.

I’ve tried putting the thumbnail’s url in splash field but it has not worked. Some advice?

    Thanks.

    Hello Renato,

I’m surprised to hear you are having issues with Vimeo like this. The CDN speed is actually better than Amazon CloudFront. On top of that Amazon S3 is hard to manage.

What video format are you using from Vimeo and what country are you in? Are you using our Vimeo Pro integration? https://foliovision.com/player/video-hosting/how-to-use-vimeo

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hello Martin,
That’s odd. After I ask your help the videos on Vimeo started working fine. I have no idea why the problems occurred. And I didn’t make any change in the way I use the player. Go figure.

    Thank you,
    Renato

    Hello Renato,

We’re glad to hear that everything works. Are you still going to move to AWS?

    Thanks,
    Eduard
