How to have "Order Now" button appear at specific time?

[Solved]

Foliovision › Forums › FV Player › How to … › How to have "Order Now" button appear at specific time?

  • magentawave 8 years, 1 month ago

I have a few questions about having a payment button appear, please…

    1) Can I have an “Order Now” button appear on or below a video at a specific time with FV Player? Where are the instructions for doing this?

    2) Can I use my own image for the button?

    3) Are there any computers, browsers or mobile devices (phones & tablets) that this feature does NOT work on?

    4) Not related to the order button, but how can I turn OFF the social sharing buttons on one video but have them still appear on all of my other videos?

    Thank you.

    Hello Magentawave,

    1) Currently this is only supported at the end of a video: https://foliovision.com/player/ads/setting-up-html-popups

Making sure you can pick any popup for any video at any time is on our list of things to do.

    2) In the Popup you can enter any HTML, so you can put in your image that way.

    3) These Popups won’t work on iPhones with iOS version lower than 10, as these don’t support video player embedded directly to the website but play the videos in their own full-screen player.

    4) You can add share=”no” to the shortcode. I’ll make sure it’s available tin the shortcode editor as well in the next release.

    Thanks,
    Martin

I added share=”no” to the short code like you said but the share buttons in the top left of the video are still appearing on this page:
    https://www.buy-and-sell-cars-for-profit.com/cb-5-start/

    Here’s the short code:
    [fvplayer src="https://s3.amazonaws.com/ic-launch-content-files/FREE+COURSE+VIDEOS/5-Sales+Video.mp4" src1="https://s3.amazonaws.com/ic-launch-content-files/FREE+COURSE+VIDEOS/5-Sales+Video.webm" autoplay="true" share=”no” redirect="https://www.buy-and-sell-cars-for-profit.com/cart-cb/"]

I have other videos that I want the share buttons to appear, but how can I remove them from this one video only?

    Thanks

    Hi magentawave,

I tested your shortcode and it worked ok with the parameter. Is is possible that you have copy-pasted it and some strange symbol slipped through?

    Thanks,
    Eduard

    Hi magentawave,

Could you try to activate it via the shortcode editor and not in the shortcode itself? You can find the Sharing Buttons option in the Options tab in the shortcode editor. If you can’t find it there, make sure you have this activated in Settings > FV Player > Setup tab > Post Interface Options – there check the box Sharing Buttons.

    Thanks,
    Eduard

I did try using the shortcode editor but it wouldn’t leave any short code in the edit box below so I had to make the code manually. I decided to turn off the share buttons globally.

FV Player is good but hopefully you guys will work out the few kinks in it.

    Hi magentawave,

Shortcode editor not working seems like a serious issue. We had some reports like this and the reason was that in some text editors, shortcode editor doesn’t work in the source view. Could that be the case?

    Thanks,
    Eduard

It seems to be working okay now so maybe I was doing it wrong. I’m sorry about that and thanks for replying.

By the way… when I click the “LOGIN” link in the top right of the page it doesn’t log me in and instead sends me to this page: https://foliovision.com/store

    Hi magentawave,

You actually have to hover over the basket and a drop-down menu will appear. There you will see the Sign in option.

    Thanks,
    Eduard
