Some friends reported me that on their Smart TV with android they get error playing my live stream as “html5: Unsupported video format. Try installing Adobe Flash.
HLS.js is enabled, on htaccess placed “Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *” and more I’ve placed crossdomain.xml inside the folder where my WP is located.
How to be sure that all is going right?

I’ve checked your website and there aren’t any errors or issues.
Is there a chance to get os info of that smart tv?
Also please send your friends this website: http://www.whatsmyua.info to copy and send the info to you. Then please include that to you reply.
After we check what browser does the tv use, we can start testing.

my friend got lost in the moon after asking to open that page on his TV… so that I have retrieved the infos from his visit statistics:

I’ve done testing on every Android 4.4.4 devices that is available to me with different browser (mozzila, chrome) but I haven’t run into any issues on your website.
Best for us could be if your friend could help us with debug right on how smart TV.

Many thanks for the feedback really gentle. What I can just got from that person is the brand of TV (Crown) and SO that is Android (even if user agent taken from his visit statistics visit says Lenovo). Considering that app (that is just a converted website) works on my android devices and not on Crown TV.

you said you get the same issue when you use dev tool in Chrome – that’s because you tried to emulate iPhone and iPhone has the HTML5 playback capability for HLS which Chrome doesn’t emulate. So our player thinks it can play HLS without HLS.js, but it can’t. That’s why you get the error.
