[Solved]

Foliovision › Forums › FV Player › How to … › Download button

    Hello all!

I love this videoplayer but I can not figure out 1 thing.
I want the people to be able to download our videos.

Now I use this shortcode under each video:
[fvplayer_download id = "156" caption = "Click to download video"]

The download ID is different each video offcourse.

In the settings I have this default shortcodes:
Klik hier om deze video te downloaden. U moet ingelogd zijn.

What do I have to do to get a real download button? Now it gives just a link.
    Example article:
    https://commonsensetv.nl/echte-helden-in-de-politiek-ze-bestaan-nog/

I am not familiar with CSS and such. I am a beginner.

Thanks for the help in advance!

    Hello Dan,

    thank you for your question!

sadly, as the download button/link is only available to signed-in users, I do not see it.

please, make sure that you do have the class=”fvplayer_download button” in your Link template in Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Download.

That is, if you want to get the default FV Player download button from this guide: https://foliovision.com/player/advanced/video-downloading-with-simple-history

    Thanks,
    Maria

    Hello Dan,

I can see your theme has blue buttons. Let’s try to use that.

Please, go to your website’s backend –> Settings –> FV Player Pro –> Setup. Scroll down to the “Download” tab. You should see there a code like this one:

    <a download="%name%" class="fvplayer_download %class%" href="%src%">%caption%</a>

Now you want to change the class to the one your theme is using. In this case it’s “elementor-button”, so you should change it to this:

    <a download="%name%" class="elementor-button" href="%src%">%caption%</a>

Hit the “Save All Changes” button and check out if that worked.

    Thanks,
    Natalia
