Splash images not showing in playlists

Foliovision › Forums › FV Player › Bug Reports › Splash images not showing in playlists

  • Sbu 5 years, 10 months ago

For locally hosted mp4 videos in a playlist, added through the database, the selected splash image only displays for the first video, and all other videos use the default splash image from the settings.

The first video is also the only one with a “Splash Text” option as well, with this option missing in the dialogue for every other video.

If reordering the videos, it’s always the first/top video that gets the selected splash image and splash text option.

The custom splash image is properly displayed for every video in the database dialogue, but it isn’t used for the player in the preview or on the front end.

Have tested with all plugins disabled, and using different themes.

    Free version.

    Hello Sbu,

thank you for the bug report! We have fixed this bug, it will be part of the next release.

If you need it right now you can reinstall FV Player from this link: https://github.com/foliovision/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/archive/master.zip To do that you will have to first deactivate and delete the current FV Player plugin you are using. WordPress will warn you that you might loose settings and data, but it’s not the case with our plugin, no settings now videos will be lost. Or you can just replace the plugin files via FTP.

The Splash Text only works for the first video in the playlist, that is correct. If you have some idea about how it could work in the playlist, please let us know, perhaps we will like your idea.

    Thanks,
    Martin
