Playlist autoadvance issue with OpenLiteSpeed

[Solved]

Foliovision › Forums › FV Player › Bug Reports › Playlist autoadvance issue with OpenLiteSpeed

  • Nikolaos 2 years, 10 months ago

Hello, I switched from Apache server to OpenLiteSpeed. Since then I have an issue with the videos of the playlist. While a video is playing for some time, next video from the playlist starts automatically playing, before the other video is finished. I deactivated in the settings the Disable Playlist Autoadvance option, but issue still remains.
This happens only with some browsers like Edge and Opera. I don’t have the issue with Chrome and Firefox.
Is there a way to fix it, or are there any settings that must be changed.
    Thanks
    Nick

PS: I tested several videos with different browsers and also the same issue with Chrome and Firefox. I think this is a general issue with all browsers.

    Hello Nikolaos,

could you please create a test page where we can see the issue?

You said the video has to play for some time. What is the approximate time when it happens? Is it 1 minute, 5 minutes or 15 minutes?

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hello Martin,
I switched back to Apache and everything works again like before. The issue is gone.
    Thanks

    Hello Nick,

perhaps OpenLiteSpeed was doing some kind of HTML optimization and it damaged the FV Player configuration scripts.

So if you could use some text compare tool (here’s one online which I like to use https://editor.mergely.com/) to check differences in the HTML code coming out of Apache and OpenLiteSpeed it might help us fix the actual issue. The issue might be with the data-item attributes in the FV Player HTML code.

    Thanks,
    Martin
