Hello !
I’m experiencing issues with playback the video from vimeo when MPEG-DASH is activated… sometimes video does’nt load, sometimes it works but the load time is really long or the image it totally messed up…
when I disable the mpeg dash option, it’s working with no issues…I understood this option is about security but is it essential if the videos are only authorized on my domain in vimeo settings, so they are not downloadable.. is it correct ?

another little issue, the sticky video is not working, nothing is visible when I scroll down…tell me what I should do… thanks in advance ! :)

Thanks for the system info, your settings are looking fine!
I’ve tested multiple settings with mpegdash and vimeo videos and I couldn’t reproduce the issue. Same with the sticky videos feature.
Best would be if you could send us a link to your website with such a problematic video.

I made a little video so you can see the problem.. first videos works ok, but after some time it doesn’t want to load and finally the image breaks :( :(

does it also happen on some other browser? What about some other computer with the same browser (in some extreme cases these issues case have its root in the graphic card drivers)?
Could you please open the browser javascript console (here’s how: https://wordpress.org/support/article/using-your-browser-to-diagnose-javascript-errors/#chrome ) and then do your testing and see if anything appears there?

Currently I experience the problem in Chrome on my laptop which has a gt1080 graphic card.. I’ll give a try on other computers and browsers..

Ok so unfortunatly the Problem occurs also on Edge, firefox, and opera & on 2 other computers :( :(opera on a surface laptop

https://prnt.sc/pvgu0oI also experienced sometimes problems with sound, video was working strangely & sounds was hashed with crunched sounds and “bippps” :( :(
I also tried disabling the ‘Turbocharge Ajax Vimeo loading’ but problem is still here…I found this kind of errors in the console, but sometimes the problems was here and no errors was in console :

are you able to reproduce the issue using the Vimeo player? Perhaps there is a problem with one of the video qualities – it might be the 540p quality, so if you switch to that in Vimeo player you might get the same issue.
Otherwise we might be missing something in the MPEG-DASH parsing.

Hello, I couldn’t reproduce the problem with the normal vimeo player…
did you see the problem on your side ? my videos are 60 fps, maybe this makes a problem ? tell me if you want the access to my site to check .. anyway I’ll disable the option for now…

I was not able to reproduce the bug, but at least I enjoyed your playing.
1) Could you please disable Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Sidewide Flowplayer Defaults -> “Remember video position” to see if that helps? Perhaps we need to rework that a bit.
2) Could you please disable hardware acceleration in Chrome to see if it helps? Here’s how it’s done: https://www.lifewire.com/hardware-acceleration-in-chrome-4125122
3) Could you please try to play the video again and hit the “SD” button and pick the 240p quality? Then reload the video and play again. Do you get into the same issue again?
Please try to do that for all the qualities. I suspect one of them might be triggering the issue, or there might be some issue with ABR. Perhaps there is some slight misalignment of the video segments in our MPEG-DASH manifest file. But it’s strange that we didn’t get any other reports like this.

I did get the issue once today on the “Dark side of the earth” video here: https://foliovision.com/player/demos/interactive-transcript Reloading the page did fix the issue and it didn’t occur again.

Please see if remembering the video position causes the issue again. Perhaps we can improve the way it seeks – maybe it seeks too earily, before the video was properly initialized? For example on mobile we can only seek after the first 1/4 of second or so has played.
