hlsjs-lite: Video not properly encoded

    Dear support,
    Suddenly the encoded video doesn’t work anymore.
    The viewer’s message is “hlsjs-lite: Video not proactively encoded”.

    I saw the link below and updated the plug-in and proceeded with “Stream Loader” -> “Clear cache”.

    It’s information on my site.
    Wordpress 6.2
    FV Player 7.5.32.7212
    FV Player Pro 7.5.33

    The video is Encrypted HLS.
    I saw the link below and encoded the Encrypted HLS.

    I attached the error log of the Chrome console as an image.

    Dear support,
    I entered the wrong viewer error message.
    The viewer’s error message is “hlsjs-lite: Video not properly encoded”

    Thank you for reaching out to us!

    We’ve received several reports of this nature concerning ”hlsjs-lite unsupported video” and “hlsjs-lite: Video not properly encoded” reports on encrypted HLS videos after updating to WordPress 6.2.

    We’ve found that WordPress 6.2 utilizes a new way of sanitizing MySQL queries, which temporarily broke encrypted HLS playback.

    FV Player Pro 7.5.34 is out and it will fix the issue. Please, update the plugin and let us know if fixed the issue for you.

    When I updated the FV Player Pro plug-in to 7.5.34, I checked that encrypted HLS is playing.

    Hi.

    I was unable to fix the same issue. My setup has the latest updates, but the issue persists:
    FV Player version: 7.5.32.7212
    FV Player core version: 7.2.12.1
    FV Player Pro version: 7.5.34.7212
    WordPress Version: 6.2

    PHP Version: 8.0.28
    MySQL Version: 10.3.38
    Web Server Info: LiteSpeed

    Switching to BETA, disabling Speed-up (beta) and clearing cache didn’t help either.
    My server is behind Cloudflare WAF and the setting is on. BunnyCDN+DigitalOcean for encrypted files

    Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello Dimitri,

    do you run into the issue at all times or does it only fail sometimes?

    What does the Video Checker say about the video? https://foliovision.com/player/troubleshooting/how-to-use-video-checker By checking that you can verify if your DigitalOcean Spaces to Bunny CDN connection works properly and your Bunny CDN Secure Token is set properly.

    When “Speed-up” setting of FV Player Pro -> Stream Loader is disabled you can also instal the Log HTTP Requests plugin and see what it says about the requests going to your Bunny CDN domain. Just clear your Stream Loader cache in FV Player Pro settings and when you play a video next time it will a log entry with in wp-admin -> Tools -> Log HTTP Requests. There you can see full details of the Bunny CDN response. I wonder if it gives back some error page.

    Hi Martin,

    I run the tests again and yes, there was a 403 error. Looks like the referrer, which must be the domain or include the domain is not being set in the first request. The referrer is being set for subsequent requests correctly. See pictures

    Hello Dimitrii,

    thank you for all the logs. I see we did not add the Referer header for the HLS separate audio track check, so this would fail for users who use multiple audio tracks.

    Please deactivate and delete the FV Player Pro plugin you are using, then hit “Install Pro extension” at the top of the wp-admin -> FV Player -> Settings screen.

    That will give you the FV Player Pro plugin with the fix.

    Hello.
    Unfortunately, the issue re-surfaced once again again. I am getting a 403 error from BunnyCDN because the links show no referrer again.
