FV Player Version 8: Shortcode editor creates New Players by itself

Hi Martin,

We use a lot of manual shortcodes on our site. Whenever I post a new manual shortcode in the back-end into a CPT, which is consumed by an Elementor template to be shown in the front end, the FV Shortcode editor, creates a new Player (ID) for each of those shortcodes…. Is this intentional? If so, can this be turned off?

We have up to 8 shortcodes for each single Video/audio item, the shortcode editor gets overly crowded with Player IDs which are not needed for us…..

Hello Michael,

Yes, this is intentional. If every FV Player has it’s database entry we can store all the video data or user video positions properly.

Please post a screenshot of your CPT editing interface if possible to let us understand your situation better.

You can also enable wp-admin -> FV Player -> Settings -> Integrations/Compatibility -> “Disable database conversion”.

Hi Martin,
here a screenshot of a single ‘session’.

When filling all the fields with shortcode, just one session creates a lot of new entries….

Hello Michael,

I see that it has to create a lot of FV Player instances.

Please let us know if you are having issues with that “Disable database conversion” setting.
