Foliovision Forums Foliopress WYSIWYG Requests and Feedback PHP code in editor

  • Hi!

I use the plugin Foliopress WYSIWYG for WordPress and it works fine! The only thing I miss is a cooperation with a plugin that allows me to write php code in the editor. It’s nessecery for me to have that kind of function. Is there a way to solve this?

    Thank you!
    / Amanda

  • Hello Amanda,

for these advanced posts with code (mostly JavaScript), we added “Plain text editing” check box to “Post Author” post and page editing meta box.

That might do the trick for you. We ended up using plugin called Sniplets to insert PHP code into posts. It’s bit more difficult and don’t forget to properly test if it works for you.

Please let us know if any of this was helpful!

    Hello Amanda,

We have no particular desire to make Foliopress WYSIWYG work with live PHP in the posts. Putting live PHP in posts is a huge security risk and defeats the purpose of a templated CMS. Use John Godley’s Sniplets if you must put PHP in your posts.

    Thanks for using Foliopress WYSIWYG.

    Is there anything like <?php ……. tinyMCE.init ….?>
for the FCK-Editor to be called in a code executing field, i.e. Gravity forms HTML-block?
This would be a great feature and enhance flexibility enormously.
