WP Link Robot

WP Link Robot is an advanced Link Directory managment system with backlink checking and SEO status information about your partners' sites.

It's based on the original Wordpress Link Directory plugin by Alec Tang. So are there any reasons why you should use our improved version?

Support for redirects - great in situation, when your link partner moves his link directory to some other URL.
SEO information about you link partner's site included (PR, number of cached pages, Alexa rating, ...). Refresh this information with just a single click.
Improved backlink searching algorithm.
Don't delete your links, just move it the trash and you can always recycle it!
Improved user interface - more javascript used, less popup windows.

We are finishing the new version soon. Features will be as following:

source code will be redone from scratch according to highest Wordpress standards. The original plugin is not very nice programmed, we want to make this plugin super nice.
no more copying of files into Wordpress core
that means easy and fast installation
no pop-up windows for link editing
better and faster user interface

I’m working on setting up a link directory and your re-write sounds like what I need. When will it come out?

I’m wondering if your new version will simply update over the existing ones (without losing my links)

Hello George,

new version will work with the db from the old version, but I’m not sure when it will be finished. There’s a small chance that we will do it in a month, but I’m not promissing that, sorry.

Hello John,

this plugin has problems with menus in WP above 2.7. We plan to fix it. In the meantime you need to rewrite the address in your location bar to something like this to access different plugin screens:

Not very nice, but as a temporary solution it works.
