Not working in mobile app

Foliovision › Forums › FV Player Pay Per View › Troubleshooting › Not working in mobile app

Page or post do not generate checkout and registration for purchase. Also it is malfunction integrating post in web to native apps Android and iOS. We are using Androapp plugin for native apps and even for webpage, it seems FL PayPerView confunds with our Ecwid Store plugins.

    Hello Luiz,

could you please post a link to the page where we can see the issue?

Have you tried to create a sample Download item in Easy Digital Downloads and see if it works with that? You can follow the steps here (you only have to complete the steps until the second screenshot): https://docs.easydigitaldownloads.com/article/177-creating-products

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hi Luiz P.,

Does the setup with Pay per view work for you on desktop?

Thanks for the fast answer in support.
We have deactivated and deleted EDD and FV, reinstalling again to restore all the structured pages (checkout, failure, etc.) and it is back working. However, works just on website, keeps not working inside the native Apps.

We developed an integration inside the apps to execute in-purchase inside them with Ecwid e-commerce platform.

Do You have some way to accept FV PayPerView as a digital product in Ecwid ? That would solve all our issues, including bad token we noticed to transfer transaction to PayPal.

    Kind regards,
    Luiz Pace

    Hello Luiz,

does your mobile app support Ajax calls?

Can you buy a simple EDD item (without FV Player Pay Per View) using the app?

Are you using the WordPress plugin for Ecwid and does that one work fine with your mobile app?

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hello Martin,

Yes, all the functionalities of Ecwid e-commerce work on native Apps Android and iOS.

Even when We use simple EDD item, there is no following transaction to finish purchase.

We open a customization coding ticket in Ecwid to try integrate Pay Per View.

And Martin, using test data to end all purchase process, after filling up information to PayPal, its screen returns “impossible to complete purchase”. (this in normal website). We have a receiving payments account with setup merchant token, something seems to be missing between plugin and PayPal.

    Hello Luiz,

so are you saying that you are not able to purchase anything from EDD using the PayPal account even on your website?

When you hit the buy button in FV Player Pay Per View in the mobile app does it run the Ajax calls successfully?

Is your mobile app using some standard web view? I was able to debug that for iOS using https://github.com/creativelive/FacebookWebbrowserDebugApp before – I could open the browser developer tools for it and see what causes the issue in the app as it used the same web view.

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Dear Folks,

Is there an available API documentation from FV Payperview. we need this information to develop some kind of integration between our own purchase transaction and FV notification with URL of streaming videos.

    Thanks a lot,
    Luiz Pace

Thanks Martin for your prompt assistance. We analyze the issue and have decided to implement integration with our consolidated e-commerce solution from Ecwid.

Can you provide API documentation of FV Payperview, cause we need to notify FV system with customer e-mail provided in checkout process in Ecwid environment, so possible for FV to send protected rental video URL to the eligible customer with payment confirmed.

Thanks again for all the help provided.

    Hello Luiz,

FV Player Pay Per View uses EDD shopping cart. Then you click the buy button, you go to EDD checkout page and you make the payment there. Our plugin doesn’t interfere with that, with exception of PayPal – we take the user email from PayPal directly. If the EDD purchases would work for you, I would suggest you try to disable that functionality (by commenting out include for the edd-one-click-checkout.php file).

The EDD plugin also gives you an user account and then when you come to the video as logged in user we check if you made the purchase of the video with EDD and if so, you get the full video.

So hooking in some other API in there is not simple.

We are also planning to create a WooCommerce version of the plugin. When doing that we will probably rewrite the current FV Player Pay Per View plugin a bit to make it more flexible, at that point it might not be so hard to implement Ecwid.

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hi Luiz!

I’m sorry to hear that our product does not work for you. I just processed your refund. Please allow a few days for it to arrive.

We were now focusing on reworking and revamping our player. We will be certainly improving pay per view product too. Your notes will be valuable. Thank you.

    Have a nice day!

    Lucia
