I have a live stream running and only on some ISO devices of the clients/viewers only hears the audio from a stream and sees the loading animation. When I send the server link that hosts the stream the client can see the stream without any problem, Only trough FV player it is not possible.

Hello Mark,
the issue which I’m noticing is that your video are not optimized for web. I tried on iPhone 16.4.1 and the video wouldn’t start even if I opened it in the browser directly.
I tested with Delft_01-06-2023.mp4
It’s a 12 hour long video, so I’ll check if that might be causing some issue on iPhones.

Is is not only on MP4 files is is also happening in live streams. I replace at the end of a live stream the URL from de livestream server to the archive server. Today we are filming on https://inbeeld.tv/paardensport/outdoor-concours-delft-2023-vrijdag-2-juni/ and still using https://live1.inbeeld.tv
I know that there are issues with the mp4 files on iphone IOS. But it is always on IOS that things not working. That is for live stream and “static” file stream. On all the other platforms I don’t have any issue.
On MacOS there is also no problems loading the livestream of mp4 files.Kind regards,

I wonder if FV Player fails to detect that the stream is live. Could you please provide the streaming URL and let us know when it will be live again?
Or will adding live=”true” to the shortcode fix the issue? You can try like this (1 is your player ID for the live stream):

And I use https://live2.inbeeld.tv/hls/stream.m3u8 in the playerWe are starting from around 0800 hours UTC till 1700 hours UTC.
I’m also busy with setting up a server that runs the same software that I can leave running for some day’s. I will have that ready after this event is done.

so currently the live stream is not live anymore, it just shows a short video with a message that the stream is offline. But at least I can see that without issues on iPhone with iOS 15.7 and also on iOS 16.5. I tried with both Safari and Chrome.
Please let us know when do you plan to run another live stream or if you could run some test live stream.
