Foliovision › Forums › FV Player › Troubleshooting › No Progress bar, no play button, and exit full screen button not working
-
I am using MAC OS 10.10.5, and have tested on safari, firefox, and chrome.
These issues only started happening after I installed optimize press, so I’m assuming there’s some conflict there.
When I design the skin, it shows the progress bar and play button exactly as it should, but on my site the progress bar and time does not show, the play button (in center of video) is a horizontal shadow bar (see picture), and the close full screen button doesn’t work (this last error is in safari only).
You can see these errors here: http://www.pianokingdom.com/piano-tab/
Any ideas?

Hi Kevin,
The OptimizePress version 1 has some compatibility issues with our plugin. We have a short guide that should help you. You can find it in our FAQ – question 9.
Thanks,
EduardHi Kevin,
If you are using the OptimizePress live editor, then this article might be helpful – https://foliovision.com/2014/04/flowplayer-fixes-optimizepress
Thanks,
EduardHello Kevin,
the player styling is conflicting with Flowplayer styling coming in from the optimizePressPlugin.
I made some improvements, please reinstall FV Player from WordPress.org, resave its settings and it should be much better. To reinstall the plugin you will have to deactivate the FV Player plugin which you are currently using and then delete it – no videos or settings will be lost. Then you will be able to install it again.
Alternatively you can order our Pro support and we will check this further and fix any other issue which we might find.
Thanks,
MartinCool, so the update solved the progress bar and absence of a play button! (although the play button is now larger? I assume there is a way to customize that image?)
However, I am still experiencing the exit full screen issue in safari. When in full screen mode, the button in the top right corner does not exit full screen. Hitting the esc key will exit full screen, but when I do it 2 times, the video now disappears on the webpage and the audio keeps playing. I have to refresh the page to get the video back.
This issue does not happen on firefox, chrome, or edge. Ideas?
Hello Kevin,
I see the issue with the player button size, we will have a look. My last fix was not the best one, we simply need to make sure our CSS loads as last and then we can reduce the amount of !important CSS declarations.
I am able to reproduce the quality switching issues on Safari 9.1.3 on OS X 10.9.5. It must be a conflict with some plugin or some Safari bug as it works well on Foliovision.com homepage.
The fullscreen button is not there, but hitting Esc key works well no matter how many times I repeat it.
Thanks,
MartinI reinstalled FV Player (v6.1), but can’t figure out how to reinstall FV Player Pro (I currently have v0.8.17 installed).
When I reinstalled the new FV Player 6.1, I am now getting the same issues that I originally had, with the progress bar missing, and the play button is missing again.

Hello Kevin,
I see that the CSS files of the “optimizePressPlugin” plugin are loading before our plugin’s CSS files. Perhaps the order of these fiels depends on which plugin you installed/upgraded as first.
I’m grabbing a copy of the optimizePressPlugin plugin (as I found we have a test account there) now to check it out.
Thanks,
MartinHello Kevin,
could you please reinstall FV Player from this ZIP file? It helped on my test site – if optimizePressPlugin is active it adds its CSS as a depencency for FV Player – effectively moving our CSS after optimizePressPlugin CSS.
Sorry about the inconvenience, but it seems like there was a change in optimizePressPlugin which caused this. Now it should be stable and you won’t have to go through another round of this again.
FV Player Pro latest version is 0.8.17, you don’t have to reinstall that one.
Thanks,
MartinHello Kevin,
forgot to put in the link to FV Player ZIP file with the fix in it: https://github.com/foliovision/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/archive/master.zip
Please let us know how it goes before we release this to WordPress.org.
Thanks,
Martin
