Hey Guys,
We are having a strange issue with the FV Player Pro where any videos opened in a lightbox on a Mac (we’ve tested on a couple different Mac Devices and OS’s) do not play.
The lightbox forces fullscreen and never actually starts playing the video. However, when we use the lightbox function on Windows we do not have a problem.
When we go in and remove the lightbox = true shortcode the video then properly plays on Mac.
We’ve tried a few settings changes but have yet to be able to get the video to function in the Mac lightbox.
If there’s any known resolution please let me know, if you need access to the site to test it I can get you set up, but it is a membership site so I’ll have to create a test page / user.

2) What kind of hosting are you using? Is it Vimeo? Actually, if you could send us a link to your website with frontend access, that would be the best. You can send the access credentials via https://revealit.me/ (the message will delete after opening it once).

1) I’m unable to test that video at the moment, but I’ve sent it to another team member to test on his Mac.
2) We are using Vimeo for all of our video hosting.

Just an update, I just heard back from my coworker and he tested all of the videos on that page on a Mac, and they all worked without an issue.

Another update for you, we’ve found what may be a workaround to that video issue, however, it is a bit confusing.
In Safari if you follow these steps to “Allow AutoPlay” on the site the videos appear to work:
1: Click on “Safari”
2: Navigate to “Preferences”
3: Click on “Websites” on the top of the screen
4: On the left hand side of the screen you should see an option titled “Auto-Play” click on that
5: The default setting for Upswing Poker will be “stop media with sound.” Click on that and change it to “Allow All Auto-Play”
6: That screen should then look like the attached image.Once that setting is changed the videos play, however, it is odd because the videos are not set to autoplay, the global FV player setting for autoplay is turned off, and even with the safari setting changed, the videos require us to press play before they start.
So we are not sure why the Safari AutoPlay setting is resulting in the videos playing.
Any info is much appreciated.

Thanks for the updates. I’ll do some more testing on Safari and let you know what I’ll learn. Could you also please let me know what macOS/Safari versions were you using for testing?
