I am using FV WordPress Flowplayer Pro for streaming live Thai TV over HLS. The site is chumsai.tv (the streams only work in Thailand). The player works beautifully from my laptop and iPhone, but on the iPad I am only getting black screen with audio. If I change it to full screen, the video shows up properly.
Can you advise what is causing this and how do I fix it?

our VPN in Bangkok is currently down, so I can’t test this.
Please check which exact m3u8 video is causing the issue and then try to open it in the iPad directly – you will probably have to type in the URL.
Also what version of iOS do you have on both iPhone and iPad? Flowplayer doesn’t interfere with audio on mobile device, as applications are not allowed to change volume settings etc.

I really appreciate your support to resolve this issue.
I added a channel that isn’t geo restricted that you can try:
I tested the above on my iPad, and the picture did show. Then I changed the channel and the other channel was showing on the iPad as well. After one more channel change, it went back to black screen. Now, http://chumsai.tv/nasa only has sound, and only a black screen. If you click the full screen button, the video shows up.
The video continues to display properly on a computer and iPhone. It seems to only have an issue with iPad.
If I paste the url directly:

It displays correctly in full screen on the iPad.
My theme is using Visual Composer, and I used the FV WordPress Flowplayer to generate the short code on the page:

To reiterate, only the iPad doesn’t display correctly in an embedded screen. Only a black screen with sound. It will display the screen it full screen mode. Is there a way to force full screen on the iPad when the viewer presses “Play?” That seems to be the default behavior on the iPhone.

sorry, those are the short codes for a different page, but they are all essentially the same.

thank you for sharing the details. I can see the issue on iPad with iOS versions 5 – 8.1.2.
I checked what is causing the issue and it’s this rule in your wp-content/themes/salient/style.css stylesheet:
video, audio {
visibility: hidden;
}We will put up a fix for this into our plugin, you can add it to your CSS now:
.flowplayer video.fp-engine {
visibility:visible;
