I have someone accessing my website from Moscow and he says that the video doesn’t work for him there. I am hosting on AWS S3. I sent a report from the player, it isn’t showing an error but I thought it may be helpful.

Hello Peter,
I tested your video from with a VPN located in St. Petersburg and got the same issue, but only once and then the video played fine. Your bucket is located in Oregon, so it’s possible that the response from the server just took too long for the user in Moscow. You could ask him if this happens to him only occasionally or every time he wants to play a video on your website.

EduardThe user said that it happened to every video they tried to play, and they couldn’t get it to play the second time. Is there any solution to this? Could I replicate it to the bucket in Frankfurt and somehow add the video link in FL Player, or would setting up Cloudfront fix this issue?

Yes, CloudFront would definitely be a solution. You could use a different bucket, but that would mean that someone from some other part of the world might experience a similar issue if he has a slower connection. If you have a lot of international visitors, then using a CDN is probably the best.

It looks like the issue was resolved, he can view the videos now! Unfortunately the videos aren’t private now, so I will need to possibly purchase the Pro version of FL Player. Is it a one-time fee or yearly?
Hi Peter,
The payment for the plugin is one-time and the license will be active for one year. After it expires you can still use the plugin, but without new updates. You can renew the license anytime, but it costs less before the expiration ($28) than after ($58).
