Problems with Wishlist Flowplayer

    I have just upgraded the flowplayer plugin and all the videos which worked on the previous one are no longer working. I even wnet so far as to re-install the plugin from my hard drive.

    I know the files can be read from my S3 store and I can see the video images in IE10 but cannot play the video.

    I can see blank screens when using Chrome but cannot get the video to play.

    I have checked the video encoding and it is mp4.

    The flowplayer defaults I have selected are Enable full screen and Post thumbnail. Flash streaming server is set ti True in case it was that.

    My WordPress version is 3.6.1 and the theme I am using is Wootheme.

    I did a template check and this is the info I get back. I do use Wishlist member but the directory is a wishlist one on S3 and not mine.
    Flowplayer script http://wishlist-products.s3.amazonaws.com/videos/flowplayer-3.2.6.min.js?ver=3.6.1 is old version and won’t play. You need to get rid of this script.

    The other check reports this, not sure if this is anything to do with it.
    wp_footer found in your template!

    jQuery library 1.7.1+ found: http://….com/members/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.10.2!

    My video check is reporting back correctly.
    appears to serve correct mime type video/mp4 for MP4 and M4V videos.

    our template check function is right: “Flowplayer script http://wishlist-products.s3.amazonaws.com/videos/flowplayer-3.2.6.min.js?ver=3.6.1 is old version and won’t play. You need to get rid of this script.”

    This is really a problem of Wishlist Member plugin if it’s forcing you to use old version of Flowplayer. They can’t just force loading that script on every page and not care about other plugin using the same script.

    You should be in touch with Wishlist Member support about how you can get rid of that script. According to this thread they use encrypted code, so even if you know PHP, it might not be easy to remove it: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/can-wishlist-member-be-stopped-from-loading-flowplayer?replies=1

    Hello Martin / Lancewan,

    Did you manage to resolve this issue.

    I am now experiencing the same problem.

    I have contacted Wishlist Member and they respond as follows :

    we don’t have that plugins yet on our system and seems that you purchased that from one of our client that used Wishlist Member also on their site? You need to contact that plugins support for the fix.

    Hello Anthony,

    you should just ask Wishlist Member if they include old Flowplayer in their plugin and how to disable it. Perhaps it can be unhooked from WP scripts API.

    When you check your page HTML source code, do you see the similar flowplayer-3 loading from “http://wishlist-products.s3.amazonaws.com” ?

    I had another issue but that was due to Wishlist Dashboard plugin wich needed updating. Once I did this it all was resolved.

    Let me know if you have this plugin. I can give you the case details if you want.
