As you probably know, Chrome does not fully buffer videos, but buffers on a sort of “as needed” basis to preserve bandwidth, etc. (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/18251632/another-force-chrome-to-fully-buffer-mp4-video). Contrast this with Safari, for instance, which will buffer the entire video given enough time (e.g., 5-30 seconds). My experience is that combining Chrome playback with slower wifi can result in inconsistent playback and intermittent stalling, especially with my AWS / Amazon hosted videos.
I guess I’m wondering if FV player has an option to force Chrome to fully buffer a video to help avoid problems when wifi or mobile connection is slow. If there isn’t such an option, do you have any suggestions? In case you;’re wondering, all of my videos are labeled as “ok” by the FV checker.
