Chromecast feature not working in FV Player 8

Hey there,

I’m having issues getting the Chromecast feature to function in FV Player 8 (Same goes for FV Player 7, but it’s a different error there, so other topic).
I’ve tested it in multiple WordPress setups and devices, each with the same result. I also checked your demo player on foliovision.com, and it’s there as well.

Here’s the thing: I’ve enabled the Chromecast support under Settings > Skin > Controls. It does not show up in the player though. I also can’t stream via the media controls in Chrome browser, the screen on the casting device just shows the “Freedom Player” text, but no video is being cast.

The console shows the following error:
Uncaught ReferenceError: createChromecastButton is not defined at fv-player.min.js?ver=8.0.13:1:37127 at HTMLDivElement.o (freedomplayer.min.js?ver=8.0.8.4:6:34099) at o.trigger (freedomplayer.min.js?ver=8.0.8.4:6:35041) at t (freedomplayer.min.js?ver=8.0.8.4:6:22005) at HTMLDivElement.e (freedomplayer.min.js?ver=8.0.8.4:6:24001)

Is this a known issue? Or am I missing something?

Hello Sebastian,

Thank you for the bug report, I see the issue was caused by FV Player 8.0.8. We are working on fixing it.

Hi Martin, thanks for your answer!

I think for now I was able to fix the issue by simply altering the line:
```
flowplayer.conf.chromecast_available &amp;&amp; (y() ? (createChromecastButton(), ...
```
to:
```
flowplayer.conf.chromecast_available &amp;&amp; (y() ? (f.createChromecastButton(), ...
```
However, also in v8 the issue from my other ticket remains. Would very much appreciate if you could check that as well, if it is also a bug.

Hello Sebastian,

Thank you for the suggestion.

We had to rework the entire Chromecast integration for the new Web Sender API. Too bad there’s no note of the old version being deprecated in Chromecast docs: https://developers.google.com/cast/docs/release-notes

The fix is in FV Player 8.0.14 which has been released now.

We still need to add support for multiple audio tracks and subtitles, which worked well with the previous version of Chromecast Web Sender API.
