Run a WordPress website along with the FV Player plugin. Until recently, the Cast button appeared on the top right hand side of the player. However, after a recent update the Cast button does not appear.
Is there some new dependency (such as SSL) that prevents the player from detecting a Chromecast device and displaying the Cast button on the player?

I don’t know the plugin version, but the change occurred recently.
The Handbrake Test video casts to TV without any problem. The fire ring video does not.Note, the site with FV Player plugin does NOT have SSL. Your test page is “https”!!!
Could there be a dependency relating to SSL with FV Player and/or Chrome browser? Has this been tested on your side? If not, please consider such a test.

it works for with the video on https://foliovision.com/ homepage.
It also works on my local test site running on http://localhost:8080.
So I don’t think that SSL is the requirement.
