    Hi there!
If it is possible to add these two new features that will be great !

    1) Clickable subtitles.
A simple possibility to make a items in subtitles clickable (in new tab). Visually (bold or underlined or different color) it most be a link.

    2) Bilingual Subtitles. For learning.
Source language at the top and the target at the bottom or vice-versa.

    3) Colored words.
Subtitles can contain some color markup . Example
    <font color=”#ff0000″>WORDS IN RED</font>
It is possible to display colored subtitles ?

    PS

    UTF8 subtitles are not displaying.

    Hello clod,

    thank you for the suggestions!

    1) The link actually can be put in, but it can’t be clicked, so we will check your request in our team.

    2) Multilingual subtitles are possible, but not two languages at once. We will check your request in our team.

    3) I wouldn’t recommend using font tag, but you can use span tag with a style (or better a class which you define in your theme CSS), you can see it on the second demo here: https://foliovision.com/player/demos/subtitles

    4) The UTF8 subtitles work for me: https://foliovision.com/player/demos/subtitles Please let us know what browser you are using.

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hi Clod,

    1. For clickable text, we have built-in text ad functionality where the clickable links can show up at exactly the time you want. I’d hate to mix subtitles and the text ad functionality. You can make the text ads look like your subtitles. Adding clickable links to subtitles themselves would break a lot of standards and create device playback issues.

    2. I’m not a fan of bilingual subtitles but I can see the case for two sets of subtitles. What I’d suggest first though is including both sets of subtitles within a single set (i.e. if you are teaching English/Spanish). That would work. If you need to mix and match multiple sets, then indeed we’d have to add a second set of subtitles (at the top and bottom as you suggest). Tell us more.

    4. We’re waiting to hear from you about the issues with UTF-8 subtitles. Please send us a sample page.

    Thanks.

Making the web work for you, Alec
