I’m looking for more details on user stats such as time of day and simultaneous views and total views. I’d like to see these stats:
- stats show the time of day for each video
- Stats showing the total number of simultaneous users by time of day
- Stats showing the duration so I can see how many people completed entire video
- Stats showing the maximum number of simultaneous views at one time
- Sort the video playlist by total number of views
I imagine all of theses would require using Google stats. Are there any other options? I want to track my users attention spans so I can see who is cheating by not watching the entire video. It would be cools to see which videos are most popular by seeing how many watched the entire video and how many got bored and turned it off halfway. I’m particularly interested in tracking simultaneous viewers so I can check my website total user capacity. It would be nice to sort the list of the videos/plays page by total number of plays column. Also the Enabled On column is not currently sortable.

are you running a e-learning website? We are preparing a special mode where users can only seek back in a video but not forward. With the video position storing it would allow users to watch full video even in multiple sessions if it’s a long video and they run out of time.
Regarding boring videos – it seems to me it would be better to add video heatmaps.
When you talk about website total user capacity – are you not using a video CDN? If you serve videos from a shared hosting plan, it might indeed run into issues if there’s too many video videos at once. You should be able to see the peaks in the website bandwidth graphs. If you are on your own VPS then it should really be available in your hosting control panel.
