Suggested video formats to compliment encrypted HLS

Hi

I’m updating my tuition site to have encrypted HLS as the lead video format using MediaConvert on AWS. I have setup a range of outputs, going down to 360p. I have enabled HLS.js.

In order to cover all devices… Do you suggest I include any other video formats in my shortcode, such as a mobile video option or a Webm?

I’m just catching up to the latest tech and would very much appreciate a point in the right direction.

Thanks for reaching to us!

If your range of outputs is for example from 1080p down to 360p there is no need to add any more outputs based on our experience.

You can add 270p for old mobile devices with slow internet connection however most mobile devices with mobile connection can play 360p videos without any issues nowadays.
